NSW: Eight people charged with riot offences in western NSW.

SYDNEY, Dec 27 AAP - Eight people have been charged with rioting following an attack on a man in western NSW.
The 20-year-old man was knocked off his motorcycle as he was parking it at his home when a brick was thrown at him about 4am (AEDT) on Friday morning, police said.
A group of more than 20 people later allegedly threw bricks and bottles at his home in Dareton, north-west of Mildura.
Police attended the scene and spoke to a number of witnesses on Friday.
They arrested eight people and took them to Dareton Police Station where they were charged with rioting offences.
Five men, aged 22 to 49, and a 24-year-old woman were refused bail to appear in Broken Hill Local Court on Saturday.
Two women, also from Dareton, were charged granted bail.
A 41-year-old woman will appear at Wentworth Local Court on January 6, 2009, and a 19-year-old will appear at the same court on March 3.
