QLD: Police target dangerous drivers on Gold Coast

GOLD COAST, Dec 28 AAP - Gold Coast police are cracking down on dangerous drivers.
Operation Trap Door 12, targeting drink and drug divers as well as illegally modified or defective vehicles, started at 5pm (AEST) on Saturday and was due to run until 2am on Sunday.
The operation aimed to provide a high visibility police presence on major arterial roads in Southport and Labrador.
"Officers will be targeting motorists caught speeding and will conduct checks on licenses, registration and vehicle defects as well as roadside drug and alcohol testing," police said in a statement.
