SYDNEY, Dec 28 AAP - Several teenagers have been arrested after the stolen car they were travelling in hit another vehicle during a pursuit in Sydney's west.
Police spotted five teenagers inside the early model Holden Commodore, which had been reported stolen, at Doonside at about 6.20pm (AEDT) on Sunday.
Officers pursued the vehicle to nearby Blacktown, where the car crashed into an elderly couple's vehicle at the intersection of Richmond Road and Lyton Street, police said.
Four of the teenagers were arrested at the scene of the accident, but one evaded police and ran off.
Police say the elderly couple were uninjured in the crash, but the alleged driver of the Commodore suffered a cut to the head and was taken to hospital.
He is expected to be charged on his release.
The other teenagers are also expected to be charged.
Both cars were left with minor damage.
Officers were still working to identify the fifth teenager who ran off, police said.
