NSW: Children and adults injured by fire crackers.

SYDNEY, Jan 1 AAP - Two children have been seriously injured by exploding fireworks on the NSW Central Coast.
A 12-year-old boy has suffered serious hand injuries and shrapnel wounds to his body, and a a three-year-old child has multiple shrapnel wounds to his body.
The incident happened at Wyoming, near Gosford.
Both boys were taken to Gosford District Hospital by paramedics about 11am (AEDT) on Thursday.
A number of Sydney based adults were also treated by paramedics for injuries involving misuse of fire crackers overnight.
At Orchard Hills, in western Sydney, a 35-year-old man sustained face and hand injuries shortly after midnight.
He was taken to Nepean Hospital by paramedics.
At Busby, in Sydney's south west, a 23-year-old man was taken to Liverpool hospital with hand injuries.
At Lethbridge Park, western Sydney, three adults were injured by fireworks.
They were treated at the scene.
And At Parramatta, also in western Sydney, a man sustained a hand injury.
He was assessed and treated at the scene.
Ambulance officers said fireworks must be handled with care by qualified people only, as misuse can result in serious injuries, and even death.
