NSW: Man dies after head-on collision with semi-trailer: Police

A man is dead after his car collided with a semi-trailer in western New South Wales.
The head-on fatality is the first death on the state's roads since the start of the year.
Police say the two vehicles collided on the Newell Highway about 8am at Tomingley .. 45 kilometres south of Dubbo.
The male driver of the car died at the scene .. which forced the closure of the highway for police to investigate the accident.
