NSW: Rider dies in collision with 4WD

SYDNEY, Jan 5 AAP - A 50-year-old Victorian man has died after his motorcycle collided with a four-wheel-drive in the Bega Valley, in southern NSW.
The man was travelling on his Harley Davison motorcycle along the Snowy Mountains Highway when his bike collided with a Toyota Landcruiser, four kilometres east of Bemboka, at 11.30am (AEDT) on Monday.
The rider, who was travelling towards Bega with a friend, was thrown 20 metres from his bike.
He suffered a "significant" leg injury in the fall, police said.
The man's condition worsened while he was being carried by ambulance to nearby Bega Hospital, with police having to take the wheel while paramedics tried to save him.
He was pronounced dead when the ambulance reached Bega Hospital.
Crash Investigation Unit officers are investigating the accident and have urged anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
The male driver of the Toyota was unharmed in the collision.
