Vic: Police officer faces court on child sex charge

MELBOURNE, Jan 7 AAP - A Victorian police officer will face court on Wednesday charged with child sex offences.
The charges against the officer from the Gippsland region, in eastern Victoria, include incest, sexual penetration of a child under 16 and perjury.
He was charged and remanded before Christmas and is expected to apply for bail in the Magistrates Court.
The police watchdog, the Office of Police Integrity, is investigating.
