Vic: Man critical and up to 150 passengers stranded after crash

MELBOURNE, Jan 9 AAP - A man has been critically injured and up to 150 train passengers were stranded after a collision between a car and a Melbourne-bound train in Victoria's east.
The man was thrown from his vehicle after crashing into the V-Line train on a farm near Rosedale in East Gippsland about 2pm (AEDT) on Friday, emergency services said.
A police spokesman said the accident happened on an unnamed road on private property.
The man has critical injuries and V-Line passengers were being examined at the scene by paramedics, Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said.
The police spokesman said the train remained intact and said there were no boom gates at the crossing.
