NSW: Speeding offender found with drugs and cash: Police

SYDNEY, Jan 11 AAP - A man caught speeding in southern NSW has been found with 15kg of cannabis and $54,000 in cash in his four-wheel drive, police say.
Officers were conducting random radar checks on Sunday morning in a fully-marked highway patrol car on the Hume Highway near Gundagai.
They allegedly observed a silver Nissan X-Trail travelling at more than 130km/h in an 80km/h zone.
After pulling the vehicle over, police conducted a search and allegedly found $54,000 in cash and cannabis estimated to be worth $138,000 packed in boxes in the boot.
A 38-year-old man from the ACT was charged with possessing an indictable quantity of cannabis, having goods in custody suspected of being stolen.
He was given a traffic infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h.
The man was refused bail and is due to appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court on Sunday.
