NSW: Teen charged with brawl shooting will stay in jail

SYDNEY, Jan 12 AAP - A teenage boy charged with shooting two brothers during a neighbourhood brawl in Sydney will remain in jail for another month until his next court date.
The 16-year-old Rosemeadow youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, made a brief appearance in Campbelltown Children's Court on Monday.
He allegedly fired at two brothers during a late-night brawl at a public housing estate on January 5 at Rosemeadow, south of Campbelltown.
Four males were stabbed and two were shot during the brawl, with up to 100 people involved by the time police arrived.
At least 15 males, one only 14 years old, were arrested in relation to the incident.
The 16-year-old youth, who was himself stabbed, was transferred on Wednesday from hospital to Campbelltown police station to face multiple firearms charges.
He was charged with two counts of discharging a firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and two counts of affray and possessing an unregistered firearm in a public place, along with one count of causing danger with a firearm or speargun, discharging loaded arms with intent and other firearm-related offences.
He appeared briefly in court on Monday and did not apply for bail, which was formally refused.
The boy was remanded into custody until his next court appearance via video link on February 9.
