Vic: Teen drowns at Melbourne beach

MELBOURNE, Jan 14 AAP - A teenager has drowned while swimming at a Melbourne beach on Wednesday.
The male was dragged out of the water at Edithvale just before 3.30pm (AEDT) but ambulance paramedics could not revive him, Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman Christine Paterson told AAP.
"Paramedics got there and CPR was in progress, they continued it but unfortunately he died," she said.
The man was in his late teens and was missing before being found in the water, she said.
Edithvale is in Port Phillip Bay in Melbourne's south.
