Qld: Teen in 30m waterfall plunge

BRISBANE, Jan 16 AAP - An 18-year-old woman is in a serious condition with a fractured skull after falling 30 metres down a waterfall in far north Queensland.
She was at Cedar Falls at Proserpine with a group of friends when she fell from the top of the falls late on Thursday afternoon.
A helicopter was called to the scene but a friend of the woman managed to help her to an ambulance which took her to Proserpine Hospital.
She suffered head and spinal injuries and a fractured hand and was listed in a serious but stable condition.
