Qld: Road toll doubles in 24 hours

Motorists across Queensland are being warned to take care .. after seven road fatalities within 24 hours.
Yesterday morning the state's road toll was seven less than this time last year .. but within a day it doubled to 14.
The toll includes two hit and runs .. with one being treated as suspicious.
Police are interviewing a 28-year-old man in relation to the suspicious death of a man hit by a car at Mount Warren Park near Beaudesert .. south of Brisbane .. this morning.
Police Commissioner BOB ATKINSON says while it's too early to say what's caused the latest road crashes .. he's advising people to slow down and not to be impatient.
