NSW: Countdown on for time-of-day harbour bridge tolling

There are only five days to go until motorists crossing the Sydney Harbour Bridge at peak times cop an increased toll.
Time-of-day tolling takes effect on the bridge from Tuesday .. and is designed to ease traffic congestion on Australia's busiest road.
Acting New South Wales Roads Minister DAVID CAMPBELL says time-of-day tolling means motorists who travel into the city outside the peaks will pay less than peak users .. discouraging unnecessary peak hour trips.
A similar system has been used in London .. where Mr CAMPBELL says weekday traffic has dropped by 20 per cent.
