BRISBANE, Jan 22 AAP - Two men have been charged over the 1989 disappearance of Gold Coast businessman Jeffrey Wong and will appear in a Brisbane court on Friday.
Mr Wong arrived at his Currumbin workshop on May 18, 1989 and was never seen again.
His wife reported him missing and a 1993 coronial inquest found it was probable on the available evidence that he died from unnatural causes at the hands of a person or persons unknown.
In August 2008, detectives from the Queensland Police Service's cold case unit reviewed the case, codenamed Operation Pitstop.
They have charged a 52-year-old Scarborough man with murder and unlawfully disposing of a body, and a 51-year-old Currumbin man with being an accessory after the fact of murder and unlawfully disposing of a body.
Both men will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday.
