NSW: Double demerits apply

A father who lost his 16-year-old daughter in a traffic accident is pleading for motorists to be careful on roads over the Australia Day long weekend.
STEPHANIE EVANS .. was killed when her friend's car hit a power pole at Middle Dural in Sydney's north-west in September last year.
Her father IAN EVANS is begging drivers to consider their actions when they drive.
And .. police warn New South Wales drivers caught speeding or driving without a seatbelt over the Australia Day long weekend face double demerits.
Police Minister TONY KELLY has warned extra police will be out on the road until midnight on Monday .. as part of Operation Safe Return.
