SYDNEY, Jan 23 AAP - Explosives and detonators have been seized when police raided a property in Sydney's north as part of an investigation into a string of murders.
The bomb squad is examining a quantity of explosive material and detonators following the raid on a Lane Cove property about 10pm (AEDT) on Thursday as part of an ongoing investigation, police said.
Detectives from Strike Force Tuno 2 were acting on a tip-off when they raided the premises.
The strike force is investigating seven murders, three suspected murders and two attempted murders dating from 1993 to 2008 in both NSW and Queensland.
So far, four men have faced court in connection with the investigation, charged with various crimes.
Two men arrested at McMahon's Point earlier this week are charged with conspiracy to murder drug dealer Terry Falconer in 2001.
Marcelo Alejandro Urriola, 24, faced Waverley Local Court on Wednesday on 15 drug and firearms offences.
A fourth man is in custody charged over a large quantity of drugs seized at an inner-city storage warehouse and with firearms offences.
Police are yet to determine whether any charges will be laid as a result of the explosives and detonators recovered on Friday.
