SYDNEY, Jan 23 AAP - Police are struggling to identify the body of a man found floating off Sydney's Bondi Beach.
Officers were called to the beach on Thursday after reports a fisherman had seen a body about 100 metres offshore from the Bondi sewerage treatment outlets.
Police initially believed the body was that of a woman.
But on Friday officers said it was a white/European man of slim build and about 185cm tall, dressed in a blue/black chequered Hawaiian shirt and white board shorts.
It's believed the body had been in the water for up to two days before it was found.
Anyone with information has been urged to contact Sydney Water Police or Crime Stoppers.
