NSW: Property owner found dead inside ute submerged in dam

SYDNEY, Jan 24 AAP - A body found in a dam in the NSW Hunter Valley is believed to be that of the 78-year-old property owner who had being trying to repair a pump on the dam wall, police say.
The man's body was discovered at about 3pm (AEDT) on Friday inside his ute, which was found submerged in the dam at the property on Wallaby Gully Road at Ellalong.
A post mortem examination will be conducted to formally identify him and an autopsy will be performed to establish the cause of his death.
The single cab Toyota Hilux recovered from the dam is undergoing a mechanical examination by police.
There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, police say.
