BRISBANE, Jan 28 AAP - Two men have been charged over a double murder in Queensland after being arrested in NSW.

The two Queensland men, aged 29 and 35, were arrested by NSW police at a home in Walla Walla, north of Albury, on Wednesday.

Police raided the home at about 12.30pm (AEDT) and arrested the men before Queensland investigators arrived to interview them at Albury Police Station.

They were questioned about the alleged shooting deaths of Aaron Smith, 26, of Logan Central, and Paul Black, 38, of Cairns, on Friday.

Mr Black's white Holden Crewman utility was discovered burnt out off the Beaudesert-Nerang Road at Clagiraba, south of Brisbane.

The two men have each been charged with two counts of murder under a Queensland arrest warrant.

They have been refused bail and are due to appear in Albury Local Court on Thursday, when Queensland Police are expected to apply for their extradition.
