A Sydney woman will remain in a Kuwait jail for at least another week after she was refused bail for allegedly insulting the emir of Kuwait.
Officers from Foreign Affairs attended a court hearing for NASRAH ALSHAMERY last week and say she was refused bail.
She's accused of insulting Sheikh SABAH IV AL-AHMAD AL-JABER AL-SABAH during an argument with security officers at Kuwait's airport on December 23.
She's due in court again on February 4.
