NSW: Man suffers stab wounds after machete attack

SYDNEY, Feb 7 AAP - A man has suffered stab wounds after being attacked by two men with machetes during a home invasion in Sydney's south west.
Two men with their faces covered confronted the 27-year-old man and his 56-year-old mother at a house in Duke Close, Green Valley about 11pm (AEDT) on Friday, police said.
The two armed men stole cash and fled from the scene in an unidentified car.
The wounded man was taken to Liverpool Hospital with stab wounds to his abdomen and torso.
He remains in a serious but stable condition.
