SYDNEY, Feb 8 AAP - Two teenagers are dead after being struck by cars in separate accidents on NSW roads.
Police say an 18-year-old man was run over by a Subaru about 3.25am (AEDT) on Sunday at Belrose, in Sydney's north.
The 16-year-old male driver allegedly stopped the car and a number of passengers alighted from the vehicle to check on the injured man.
The driver left before returning a short time later to the scene, where the injured man died.
The boy was arrested and charged with low-range drink driving and driving without a licence.
He is due to appear at Manly Local Court on March 4.
In a separate incident on Saturday, in southern NSW, a 16-year-old boy was reported running in and out of cars on the Hume Highway at Marulan, near Goulburn, at about 9.15pm (AEDT).
Police were alerted and were on their way when the boy was hit by a van in the northbound lanes.
The impact threw him onto the median strip and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police spoke with the 53-year-old man driving the van and a number of other motorists who witnessed the incident.
No charges have been laid.
Reports into both accidents are being prepared for the coroner.
