Fed: Cheaper milk on the way

CANBERRA, Feb 11 AAP - The price of a litre of milk is expected to drop by 11 cents later this month when a federal government tax is lifted.
The tax has been levied since 2000 to fund a deregulation package for the dairy industry.
Federal Agriculture Minister Tony Burke said major retailers had agreed to pass on the cost savings when the tax is lifted on February 22.
Anyone who is concerned about prices not falling should contact the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
