Qld: Flood damage nudges $200m

Western Queensland's bracing for flooding as the clean-up begins in earnest in the north and the state's damage bill nudges 200 million dollars.
Although the heavy rain that lashed north Queensland has eased .. western Queensland is now on high alert as floodwaters rise after more than 200mm of rain fell over the past two days.
Longreach and surrounding areas are preparing for moderate to major flooding on the weekend after the Thomson River broke its banks .. flooding the townships of Aramac and Muttaburra .. north-east of Longreach .. this morning.
The two towns are expected to remain isolated by floodwaters for at least five days .. but so far there have been no evacuations.
