NSW: Man found dead in Sydney house was shot: police

SYDNEY, Feb 16 AAP - A man found shot dead in a Sydney house was murdered, police say.
The 37-year-old's body was found in a house in Tisher Place at Ambarvale, in the city's southwest, at 8.35pm (AEDT) on Sunday.
He was last seen alive on Saturday.
"It's a homicide investigation. He died from gunshot wounds," Superintendent Stuart Smith said on Monday.
A friend of the dead man had alerted police about the killing, he said. No motive has yet been established.
"Police are urgently seeking to speak to anyone who may have heard anything or seen any suspicious activity (on Sunday night)," Supt Smith said.
The man's name won't be released until relatives interstate are informed of his death.
