WWF says while chilly Antarctic waters are home to a thriving diversity of bizarre animal species .. they need to be protected from pollution and climate change.
The conservation organisation has issued a report .. revealing there are seven thousand 500 animal species in Antarctic waters.
They include a swimming snail which spreads a mucus-net from its feet to trap algae for dinner .. and an "ice fish" which has a type of antifreeze in its blood.
The organisation is worried Antarctic oceans are getting warmer and more acidic due to climate change .. forcing these animals to move closer to the pole.
WWF wants marine protected areas around Antarctica to be expanded.
