Vic: $51 million package to help bushfire-hit businesses

The first stage of a 51 million dollar package for small businesses hit by the Victorian bushfires has just been released.
The package announced by Prime Minister KEVIN RUDD and Victorian Premier JOHN BRUMBY focuses on subsidised low-interest loans .. business assistance grants and business re-start mentors.
Mr RUDD says thousands of small businesses have been directly damaged or destroyed by the terrible fires .. and the business assistance package is a key component in rebuilding towns.
Up to 25 thousand dollars is available to eligible businesses .. with an initial payment of five thousand up front for immediate needs like a fax machine or tool box.
