NSW: Man dies in altercation at Maitland Show

SYDNEY, Feb 21 AAP - A man has died following an altercation at Maitland Showground, in the NSW Hunter Valley.
Police said the 21-year-old Raymond Terrace man died about 11pm (AEDT) on Friday, just before the close of the Maitland Show.
"Detective's have already interviewed a number of witnesses and are seeking assistance from members of the public who may have witnessed an altercation," police said in a statement.
"Any member of the public who witnessed the incident or with information relating to the matter is urged to contact police immediately.
"Investigators are keen to speak with the male driver of a blue, 1973 model Ford Cortina, who they believe can assist with their inquiries."
