SYDNEY, Feb 24 AAP - Police have detained a man over the robbery of an armoured cash van in Sydney's west.
The 22-year-old was arrested in Auburn on Tuesday afternoon by detectives from the NSW Robbery and Serious Crime Squad.
Police say four masked men, believed to be armed, held up an armoured cash van about 1pm on September 8 last year.
They allegedly pulled up in a red Nissan Pulsar behind the van at a shopping centre at nearby Guildford, threatened the guards and stole their guns and a quantity of cash.
A police spokesman said they expected to charge the man in custody.
