Qld: Sex party seeks to bed down members

Politics in Queensland has been described in many ways .. but rarely as sexy.
But that's about to change .. if the Australian Sex Party succeeds in using Brisbane's Sexpo to sign up members to get a Queensland branch up and running.
Party convenor FIONA PATTEN says registering the party before the state election on March 21 is out of the question .. but she's looking at running independent candidates in three high-profile seats.
The seats are South Brisbane .. held by Premier ANNA BLIGH .. Southern Downs .. held by Opposition Leader LAWRENCE SPRINGBORG and Indooroopilly .. held by the Greens' sole MP RONAN LEE.
Ms PATTEN says censorship .. sex education .. legal abortion .. gay marriage .. the sexual rights of the elderly in Queensland nursing homes .. and the age of consent .. are major issues in the coming state election.
