NSW: Nine Network and staff face charges over hitman story

The Nine Network .. a high-profile reporter and a producer have been charged for a controversial hidden-camera report in which the journalist posed as an alleged hitman's accomplice.
Journalist BEN FORDHAM and producer ANDREW BYRNE are accused of concealing a serious crime .. but also face action for alleged breaches of the Listening Devices Act .. along with the network.
In addition .. the 71-year-old Sydney man who was the subject of the ACA item in May last year has been charged with solicit to murder and is due to appear in court next month.
FORDHAM and BYRNE are due to appear in North Sydney Local Court on May 26.
The Nine network says it will vigorously defend the charges.
