VIC: Man shot dead, one arrested, in Melbourne's north

MELBOURNE, March 9 AAP - A 41-year-old man has died after being shot in the stomach at a home in Melbourne's north.
Police found the man with a shotgun wound lying on the front lawn of the Dalgety St house in Preston at 8pm (AEDT).
Officers tried to revive him before paramedics arrived, but he died at the scene.
A 45-year-old man was arrested at the house and is helping police with their inquiries.
Police believe the two men knew each other and were involved in a dispute prior to the shooting.
The circumstances of the shooting are unclear, police said.
A crime scene has been set up at the house.
