NSW: Teenager charged with lighting a bushfire on Central Coast

SYDNEY, March 10 AAP - A teenager has been charged with lighting a bushfire which threatened homes on the NSW Central Coast.
Firefighters fought the blaze for several hours before bringing it under control near the Old Pacific Highway at San Remo about 11am (AEDT) on January 7.
The fire threatened homes in nearby Weonga Place and burnt almost 10 hectares of bushland, police said.
A Rural Fire Service volunteer was treated in hospital for smoke inhalation.
Police have charged a 14-year-old Buff Point boy with intentionally causing a fire and causing/setting fire to another property.
The boy is due to appear at Wyong Children's Court on April 30.
