US: Wall Street stays upbeat after three-day rally

US stocks traded mostly higher at the opening on Friday as the market appeared to keep momentum from a strong three-day rally.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average drifted up 31.38 points (0.44 per cent) to 7,201.17 .. while the tech-heavy Nasdaq lost a fractional 0.75 point (0.05 per cent) to 1,425.35 in the first trades.
The broad-market Standard & Poor's 500 index edged up 3.59 points (0.48 per cent) to 754.33.
