Fed: Afghan war and global crisis feature in Rudd-Obama talks

Prime Minister KEVIN RUDD leaves for the United States today .. for his first face-to-face meeting with BARACK OBAMA.
The global recession .. and Australia's military commitment to Afghanistan .. are expected to dominate tomorrow's talks .. although it's thought the US president may hold off pressing Mr RUDD for more troops for now.
Australia's lost two soldiers in Afghanistan in a week .. making it 10 since 2002.
It's the start of a two-week overseas trip for Mr RUDD .. culminating in the G20 summit in London to consider reforms to the financial system.
