NSW: Senior gang member busted without prescription -police

A senior member of a bikie-style gang has been charged with possessing sleeping tablets without a prescription after being pulled over in Sydney.
Police say they pulled over a car in Sydney's Chatswood late last night because of the way it was being driven.
They arrested a 34-year-old man .. understood to be a high-level member of the Notorious gang .. after allegedly finding 26 Xanax brand sleeping tablets in his possession without a prescription.
The Hornsby man is due in Hornsby Local Court on May 6.
Police have said they are cracking down on bikie-related activity in the wake of a string of shooting incidents and a vicious murder at Sydney airport on Sunday.
Notorious .. whose members don't ride bikes .. has been implicated by police in at least two recent drive-by shootings .. and is said to be locked in a dispute with the Bandidos bikie gang.
