SA: Stimulus package boost housing sector says minister

Australian state and federal government have agreed to seek out special housing projects that help the environment .. the aged and the disabled.
At a meeting in Adelaide yesterday .. ministers discussed the progress of the building component of the Australian government's economic stimulus plan .. including the first home owners grant.
Ministers have committed to ensure that 75 per cent of the 20-thousand homes to be built under the plan will be completed by 2010.
In addition to seeking out projects that achieve a six star energy efficiency and provide access for the aged and disabled .. ministers say they will encourage the growth of not-for-profit housing organisations.
