SYDNEY, March 30 AAP - A man who was gunned down at a unit block in Sydney's southwest is believed to be a member of an outlaw bikie gang.
Police say the man in his thirties was shot several times in the underground carpark of the block of units in Punchbowl Road, Lakemba, late on Sunday night.
He was treated at the scene before being taken to St George hospital, where he's reported to be fighting for his life after emergency surgery.
The Daily Telegraph says the unit block is believed to be where Hells Angel Peter Zervas and his family live.
His brother Anthony was beaten to death at Sydney airport last Sunday and his death was the catalyst for the bikie wars exploding into the public arena.
Anthony Zervas, 29, was murdered in the vicious brawl between Hells Angels and rival outlaw gang the Commancheros at the airport.
