ADELAIDE, April 2 AAP - Two people have been arrested over an attempt to traffick more than 3,000 street deals of cannabis from Adelaide to Sydney.
Police arrested a 33-year-old woman at Adelaide airport ahead of a domestic flight after cannabis was allegedly found in her luggage.
She was charged with trafficking in a commercial quantity of a controlled drug, a spokesman said.
"Police will allege the cannabis was contained in 15 individual packages and it is believed to weigh about 10kg," the spokesman said.
The find led detectives to two homes in suburban Salisbury East where they seized items used to package the drugs.
A 43-year-old man was arrested, charged with trafficking and bailed to appear in the Holden Hill Magistrates Court in June.
The woman was bailed to appear in the same court in May.
Detective Inspector John De Candia of the Drug Investigation Branch said the arrests would reduce the supply of illicit drugs.
"At least 3,300 street deals have been removed from causing further harm," he said.
