Vic: Pair charged with drugs, weapons offences

MELBOURNE, April 3 AAP - Two Victorian men have been charged with various drug offences after a raid on a property netted drug-making equipment and a gun.
Police seized chemicals believed to be used to make illicit drugs, laptops, a firearm and ammunition after they executed a search warrant on a home in Highett Road, Highett, about 7.30am (AEDT) on Thursday.
Members of the Moorabbin Regional Response Unit carried out the search as part of an investigation into drug, firearm and dishonesty offences.
Chris Ververis, 25, and Nick Ververis, 22, both of Highett, have been charged with possessing articles for the manufacture of a drug of dependence, possessing precursor chemicals and firearm offences.
They were remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Friday.
