NSW: Man allegedly threatens police with gun

SYDNEY, April 5 AAP - A man has allegedly threatened police officers with a handgun in inner Sydney to evade a drug bust.
Police said officers approached the 38-year-old man as he was leaving the Northcott Flats on Belvoir Street in Surry Hills about 5.30pm (AEDT) on Saturday.
The man began to run, turning around and pointing what police believe was a handgun at pursuing officers.
He was arrested nearby allegedly carrying 10 grams of methylamphetamine and with 32 bullets in his car.
Police said they were unable to find the handgun but will search the area again on Sunday.
The Narrabeen man was charged with use weapon to avoid apprehension, supply prohibited drug, deal with the proceeds of crime and possess ammunition.
He was refused bail and will appear at Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.
