BERLIN, May 1 AP - Germany's Health Ministry has confirmed the first case of swine flu transmission within the country.
The ministry says in a statement that the virus has been confirmed in a Bavarian woman who did not recently travel to Mexico.
The statement says she was infected after coming into contact with one of the three people previously announced to have swine flu in Germany.
Her case brings the total of confirmed cases here to four. The statement says she has already made a full recovery.
The Robert Koch Institute, Germany's top public health authority, has planned a news conference about the case for later Friday.
