WASHINGTON, May 2 AFP - The United States has confirmed 160 cases of the A(H1N1) influenza virus in 21 states, the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention said on Saturday.
Most of the cases are mild, said Anne Schuchat, the CDC's interim deputy director for science and public health programs. Only one death has been reported so far in the United States, a toddler in Texas, but she warned that the CDC still expects more cases.
"I will not be surprised if we find additional cases or additional deaths," Schuchat said.
