Qld: Road toll rises to 127

A motorcyclist has died after hitting a tree south of Brisbane .. taking Queensland's road toll to 127 and putting the state on track for its worst toll in more than a decade.
Police say the 46 year old man died after his motorcycle left the road and struck a tree in North MacLean early this evening (AEST).
Queensland Police Commissioner BOB ATKINSON warned yesterday the state's on track for its worst road toll in more than a decade .. with more than one person killed on Queensland roads every day so far this year.
