HOUSTON, Texas, May 13 AFP - Astronauts aboard the Space Shuttle Atlantis have successfully captured the Hubble Space Telescope, following a rendezvous with the high flying scientific icon.
Astronaut Megan McArthur grappled the 13.2 metre long telescope with the shuttle's robot arm after Atlantis commander Scott Altman manoeuvred his spacecraft within 11 metres of the scientific icon on Wednesday.
"Houston, Atlantis, Hubble has arrived on board," Altman radioed Mission Control.
