NSW: Police find cannabis worth $450k during random breath test

A random breath test on the driver of a van in Sydney's west has allegedly led police to discover cannabis plants and leaf worth close to half a million dollars.
Police stopped the vehicle late last night at Fairfield .. and noticing a strong smell .. searched the van and allegedly found a large number of bags containing cannabis leaf and 46 cannabis plants.
Police believe the cannabis has an estimated street value of 450-thousand dollars.
The 31-year-old driver of the van and 25-year-old passenger were arrested at the scene and taken to Fairfield police station .. where both were charged with drug offences.
Both are to appear at Central Local Court today.
