L'AQUILA, Italy, July 9 AFP - An "historic consensus" on cutting pollution was reached at a G8 summit, US President Barack Obama said on Thursday, adding that developed nations have a responsibility to take the lead on climate change.
"We agreed that the developed nations have a responsibility to take a lead," on climate change, said Obama, describing it as an "historic consensus".
"The US has a historic responsibility to take the lead. In the past, the United States has sometimes fallen short in meeting its responsibilities."
