New South Wales police say motorists continue to ignore road safety messages .. after nine people died within 24 hours late last week on the state's roads.
They say apart from the carnage on the roads .. they've had to deal with drink drivers .. including a 26-year-old man travelling 45 kilometres above the speed limit in Sydney's south.
They've also caught a 21-year-old woman .. who was allegedly also caught driving at 131 kays in a 90 kilometre zone in suburban Winston Hills.
The horror began late Thursday night .. when a family of three was killed as their car was struck by a truck near the Mount White weigh-bridge .. and less than 12 hours later a multi-vehicle crash at Narrabri in the state's north left four people dead.
Another man was killed in a car crash near Deniliquin .. and a pedestrian was killed by a car in Campbelltown.
