UK: Swan warns against early withdrawal of economic stimulus

Australian Treasurer WAYNE SWAN is warning premature withdrawal of economic stimulus could derail a global recovery .. on the eve of the G20 finance ministers' meeting in London.
Mr SWAN says the meeting of finance ministers from the G20 group of developed and developing nations today and tomorrow will discuss exit strategies for economic stimulus.
But he says none of the leaders he's spoken to recently believe the time is near to begin withdrawing that support.
Mr SWAN has told reports in London getting the timing right is essential .. but they have to be acutely aware of just how fragile the international economy is .. saying there's a long way to go.
The meeting will review the implementation of economic stimulus .. discuss regulations for international financial institutions .. and future drivers of the global economy.
